Use of Convetions

How does your product use or challenge conventions and how does it represent social groups or issues?

My magazine uses many of the conventions that are standard in other magazines of it's genre. This includes eye-catching color schemes, bold pictures, and a layout that best displays the features of the automobiles being reviewed. Ultimately, the design of my magazine was based on the designs of other magazines already in existence.

My magazine represents the social group of automotive enthusiasts. In the table of contents, there are some articles listed the appeal to several different smaller sub-groups. Also, there are some articles that discuss important events that have either happened or tat are upcoming. Additionally, the magazine will discuss issues in the motorist community that have spawned debate and controversy. For example, one of the articles listed in the table of contents discusses the new rule changes for the upcoming 2021 formula 1 racing season. This is a topic that has spawned many heated discussions amongst enthusiasts of the sport.
